WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY INTERNSHIP IN ZIMBABWE

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

MASTER THE ART OF WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WHILE MAKING A LASTING IMPACT ON CONSERVATION AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS IN VICTORIA FALLS

Embark on an enriching Wildlife Photography Internship in Zimbabwe, where natural beauty meets impactful conservation work. Based on a private reserve near Zambezi National Park, this program offers participants the chance to develop professional photography skills while contributing to meaningful wildlife and community projects. Interns will document iconic species like lions and hyenas, assist with research efforts, and capture the work of organizations protecting the region’s rich biodiversity. Through hands-on assignments and expert-led workshops, participants will master photography techniques and editing skills using tools like Adobe Lightroom, creating impactful images that raise awareness and inspire support for vital conservation initiatives.

Interns reside in safari-style tents within the reserve, surrounded by stunning flora and fauna, offering daily opportunities for wildlife encounters and photography practice. Fieldwork activities include bird surveys, anti-poaching patrols, and teaching photography to local schoolchildren. ORGANIZATION

This nonprofit organization is on a mission to offer hands-on education about the wild and its creatures, all while protecting habitats for future exploration and appreciation. Located in Zimbabwe, they specialize in observing and recording animal behavior through transect surveys, setting up and monitoring camera traps, and collecting and analyzing animal tracks.

Their team, along with volunteers, also support the development of surrounding communities. Thanks to their work, they have been able to publish multiple scientific research papers for the world to have a better understanding of African wildlife and its land. They have designed diverse projects that not only support their wildlife conservation causes, but offer a unique adventure for interns who have the opportunity to simultaneously learn about African culture, nature, and communities.

Beyond conservation research, your photos will help to drive marketing, education, and fundraising – making it essential to this project’s success.
