How to get credits for your internship?

Many universities offer credit for internships abroad. Speak to your internship advisor, international office, or supervising professor to find out whether this is the case. At Roots, we will be more than happy to ensure that your internship meets the relevant requirements set by your university, and to assist with any necessary paperwork to ensure you receive your credits.

Internship Transfer Credits

If you don’t receive academic credits from your university for doing your internship, we can arrange Internship Transfer Credits for you. This will be arranged through our school of record, Hartwick College. To qualify for this, you’ll need to do the following;

  • Ensure that your university approves the transfer credits.
  • Do an internship for a minimum of 120 hours, for which you will earn 3 credits. Gaining extra credit is possible.
  • Commit to assessments and presentations during and at the end of your internship period, which will be reviewed by Harwick College.
  • Cover the cost involved, which is USD 890 for 3 credits.

If you are interested in receiving transfer credits for your internship, contact us and we’ll provide you with detailed information and guide you through the process.
