Construction Internship in Cambodia

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Build skills and experience in construction by building homes and sanitation systems for impoverished neighborhoods

Travel to Cambodia and oversee construction projects in impoverished neighborhoods of Siem Reap. This is an opportunity for aspiring architects, engineers, or tradespeople to gain project management experience, develop diverse skills, and contribute to an important cause.

You’ll join an organization combating the extreme poverty in Siem Reap where many live without access to drinking water or basic sanitation facilities. Their primary focus is providing poor neighborhoods in rural areas with basic necessities. They construct traditional Khmer-style wooden houses, wells, WASH systems, and solar systems for families most in need. Alongside this, the organization owns a community center where educational and vocational programs run.

As an intern, you’ll play an important role overseeing the successful completion of building projects. You’ll learn how to devise and execute building designs, arrange the logistics and schedule for construction, and practice your professional relationship-building skills liaising with local partners, suppliers, and builders.
