Develop graphic design skills and a dazzling portfolio promoting sustainable practices in the fashion and textile industries. You’ll be using your design skills to make a tangible difference for the environment and a pervasive impact on the communities affected by these issues.
You’ll be placed with an organization dedicated to the problem of water waste in the fashion and textile industry. They address this issue on a few levels including advocacy and awareness drives aimed at relevant stakeholders in the industry and funding wash projects for communities severely affected by water pollution.
As an intern, you’ll focus on creating visual content to spread and promote innovative solutions for fashion brands and textile mills to reduce their water footprint. You’ll work on a variety of projects including posters, sponsorship tags, impact reports, educational materials, and presentations. You’ll also get to learn the strategy of deploying these materials to maximize their impact.
Drip by Drip is a highly specialized organization dedicated to tackling the niche but pervasive issue of water waste in the textile industry. Based in Berlin, Germany, this is a multinational organization that operates in Bangladesh, Kenya, and Pakistan with plans to expand to more countries where the textiles and fashion industry is prevalent.
They operate on a number of levels, funding WASH campaigns for communities severely affected by water pollution, running educational awareness campaigns for relevant stakeholders in related industries, and conducting corporate projects where they help brands and textile mills reduce their water footprint by connecting them with innovative solutions. Drip by Drip’s goal is to transform the industry and protect our natural water resources from abuse and pollution.
With mentorship from experienced graphic designers within the organization, you’ll develop a variety of content over your internship spanning different styles, formats, and mediums. Interns will need strong technical skills and great visual creativity.
The accommodation is not included with the fee, but depending on availability, we can assist with the option to stay in a student accommodation in the heart of Berlin’s Kreuzberg district. There are single, double, triple, and quad rooms, each with their own bathroom, fridge, and microwave. You’ll also have access to the campus’s shared kitchens and laundry rooms, along with a front desk for any assistance you may need. Rooms are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed until your internship dates have been confirmed, so send us a message to inquire about Berlin housing and fees well in advance to your desired start date.
Germany has low crime rates and a strong rule of law, ensuring personal safety. Additionally, Germany’s healthcare and social systems offer a safety net for interns, providing access to healthcare and social services when needed, further enhancing the overall support system for interns pursuing nonprofit opportunities.
Your accommodation provides free Wifi access to stay in touch with family and friends during your stay. The mobile network in Germany is good and if you have a European sim card in your phone, you can use your data here at no extra cost.
Meals are not included in the fees. You can prepare your own meals in your accommodation or go out.

Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee housing. You’ll be responsible for your accommodation for the duration of your placement. Regrettably, stipends are not offered for internships in the nonprofit sector. Nevertheless, there are diverse avenues to finance your internship journey. Despite the absence of financial support and compensation, the wealth of knowledge and the myriad of opportunities for both professional and personal growth are immeasurable. When considering the pursuit of an unpaid internship, it is crucial to weigh the non-monetary benefits, including mentorship, skill development, and industry insights.
