My internship in Cape Town was a truly wonderful experience. The warmth of the people and community made every day rewarding, alongside stunning views and endless opportunities to explore. Working in sales reporting, operations, and customer experience helped me sharpen my attention to detail. I guess not many graphic design students think about doing an internship with a nonprofit or social enterprise, but I’m certainly glad I did. This internship gave me the opportunity to work with a motivated, young team that has inspirational and creative ideas to change their community. The freedom and the way of working in this structure were really empowering. This working environment made me eager to jump on a plane to South Africa to continue my remote internship in-person. Cape Town is a vibrant city that is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of mountains, beaches, and forests.
