Version: 001 Effective Date: 9th October 2026
These SMS Terms and Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern the use of SMS and text messaging services operated by ITG US and its Brands. They supplement and should be read alongside the ITG US Privacy Policy and the ITG US Terms and Conditions, which are incorporated herein by reference. Defined terms not separately defined in these SMS Terms have the meanings given to them in the Privacy Policy.
By providing your mobile number and selecting the SMS consent option, you confirm that you have read and agree to these SMS Terms.
1. BUSINESS IDENTITY
(a) “ITG US,” “we,” “us,” and “our” means Impact Travel Group (US), LLC, formerly known as World Endeavors, LLC, doing business under the following brand names: Camps International, African Impact, Kaya Responsible Travel, Raleigh International, Roots Interns, World Endeavors, StudyAbroad.com, Marine Impact, Penda Photo Tours, Ecua Explora, African Horse Safaris, Beyond TEFL, Impact Gap Year, Rebel Innovation, and Leading Lines.
(b) “Brand” means the individual trading name identified in Section 1(a) through whose website or channels your SMS consent was collected. SMS consent is captured at Brand level and applies only to that Brand. Consent given to one Brand does not authorize SMS communications from any other Brand operating under ITG US.
(c) ITG US operates SMS messaging services to communicate with individuals who have opted in to receive text messages in connection with impact travel programs, program inquiries, pre-departure information, operational updates during programs, and marketing communications where separately consented.
2. SMS CONSENT AND OPT-IN
(a) ITG US will not send SMS messages to any individual unless that individual has given explicit prior consent. Consent is obtained when an individual:
(b) Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of making a Booking or of receiving a response to an inquiry. ITG US will not infer consent from silence, inaction, or pre-ticked boxes.
(c) At the point of consent capture, the individual will be informed of: (i) which Brand’s SMS messages they are consenting to receive; (ii) the types of messages they will receive; (iii) that message and data rates may apply; and (iv) how to opt out.
(d) By providing a mobile number and selecting the SMS consent option, the individual confirms that:
3. MESSAGE TYPES
SMS messages sent by ITG US may include the following categories, depending on the consent given:
3.1 Operational Messages
Operational messages are sent to Booking Parties and Participants as necessary to deliver a program and do not require separate marketing consent. These include:
3.2 Enquiry and Pre-Booking Messages
Where SMS consent is given prior to Booking, the Brand may send:
3.3 Marketing Messages
Marketing SMS messages are sent only where the individual has given separate express consent specifically for marketing communications. These may include:
4. MESSAGE FREQUENCY
(a) Message frequency varies depending on the individual’s program status, booking stage, and consent preferences. As a guide:
(b) Where an individual initiates contact with ITG US by SMS — for example, to ask a question or continue a conversation about a booking — ITG US’s responses to those inbound messages are not counted toward the outbound frequency limits above. Conversational exchanges of this nature may result in a higher number of messages in a given month, reflecting the active dialogue initiated by the individual.
(c) ITG US will notify individuals of any material change to expected message frequency.
5. MESSAGE AND DATA RATES
(a) Standard message and data rates may apply to all SMS messages sent and received. These charges are determined by the individual’s mobile carrier and data plan. ITG US does not charge for SMS messages; however, carrier charges may apply.
(b) Individuals should contact their wireless provider for details of applicable text and data charges before opting in.
6. OPT-OUT INSTRUCTIONS
(a) How to opt out. Any individual may withdraw SMS consent at any time, without giving a reason and without detriment, by:
(b) Following a valid opt-out request, ITG US will send one final confirmation message and will remove the individual’s number from the relevant Brand’s SMS list promptly. No further messages will be sent from that Brand.
(c) Opting back in. An individual who has opted out may opt back in at any time by submitting a new consent via the Brand’s website or by contacting the Brand directly using the details in Section 9.
(d) Opting out of SMS from one Brand does not affect consent given to any other Brand operating under ITG US, and does not affect any other communications preferences including email or WhatsApp.
(e) Withdrawal of marketing SMS consent does not affect operational SMS messages required to deliver a program already booked.
7. HELP AND SUPPORT
(a) For help with SMS messages from ITG US, an individual may:
(b) ITG US will respond to HELP requests and support inquiries within two (2) business days.
8. CARRIER LIABILITY
(a) Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. ITG US does not guarantee delivery of SMS messages and accepts no liability for non-delivery, delay, or loss of any message caused by a carrier or network issue outside ITG US’s control.
(b) Where an operational message is not delivered, the Booking Party or Participant is responsible for contacting the Brand directly to obtain the relevant information. Contact details are set out in Section 9 and in the relevant program documentation.
9. PRIVACY AND DATA USE
(a) ITG US processes personal information collected in connection with SMS consent and messaging in accordance with the ITG US Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these SMS Terms by reference.
(b) The individual’s mobile telephone number and any personal information provided in connection with SMS consent will not be sold to third parties or shared with unconnected third parties for their own marketing purposes.
(c) Mobile numbers may be shared with third-party technology providers and messaging platforms contracted by ITG US solely for the purpose of delivering the SMS service. All such providers are required to process personal information only on ITG US’s instructions and to apply appropriate security measures.
(d) The full ITG US Privacy Policy is available at: https://www.rootsinterns.com/privacy-policy.
10. AMENDMENTS TO THESE SMS TERMS
(a) ITG US reserves the right to amend these SMS Terms at any time to reflect changes in applicable law, carrier requirements, or its messaging practices. Material changes will be notified to opted-in individuals by SMS or via the Brand’s website.
(b) Continued use of the SMS service following notification of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Any individual who does not accept the revised terms may opt out using the process in Section 6.
