INTERNSHIPS IN CAMBODIA WITH A LOCAL NGO
ConCERT Cambodia is a grassroots organisation based in Siem Reap committed to connecting communities with responsible volunteering, sustainable tourism, and impactful local initiatives. Focusing on informed, ethical engagement, ConCERT supports visitors and interns to understand the complex social and economic realities in Cambodia and find meaningful ways to offer support. Through guidance, education, and community collaboration, the organization helps ensure that international involvement contributes constructively to long‑term community goals rather than creating dependency.
One of ConCERT’s key initiatives is the Treak Community Centre, a locally managed hub serving children, young people, and families in Treak Village just outside Siem Reap. The centre provides educational programs, English learning, library access, and life‑skills sessions designed to increase confidence, build capability, and support broader community development. By fostering opportunities that empower rather than create reliance, Treak Community Centre embodies ConCERT’s commitment to sustainable, community‑driven change.
