With our academic internships, you are able to gain hands-on international work experience by working directly with decision makers to see the direct impact of your work. At the same time, you’ll be contributing to important initiatives that are happening at a truly grassroots level around the world. We offer year-round placements in a variety of destinations and academic focus areas with ‘do good’ organizations that often support the UN SDGs. You’ll be a large part of a small team, doing something amazing for something you are passionate about.
Please note the following:
- All internships are based on a volunteer work placement, which means you will not receive a stipend of any kind.
- Fees apply. Please note that once Roots has secured you a placement, you will need to pay a fee. On Handshake and our website with each internship you will find an indication of the fee in the section ‘dates and fees’. The fee depends on the duration of your internship, destination, and accommodation type. Do you have a tight budget? Check our page with more information on fundraising for your internship.
