During my remote internship, I wrote six stories highlighting the experiences of Youth Reporters in Malawi and how the organization impacted their lives. I conducted interviews and worked closely with my supervisor, constantly recieving and implemening feedback to refine my writing. I have become more proficient in my use of Excel charting and was able to utilize the knowledge I learned in school in the workplace. My experience with Roots and my host organization was seamless. Roots were very responsive and made me feel supported throughout my internship experience. Whilst I knew the support was there, I was always able to make my own decisions and maintain my independence.
